The Kids Dash is where titchy runners swap naptime for a bit of a dash, complete with grins that could light up the lake and high fives flying thicker than confetti. Its less about breaking records and more about those wobbly legs discovering they can actually go the distance.

The little champs loop around the grand old Old Parliament House, dodging imaginary paparazzi, before beetling down to the finish on King Edward Terrace. There, parents beam like theyve just unearthed buried treasure, and the cheers roll in from every direction.
