Hop on one of those lovingly restored steam locomotives for a leisurely chug from Canberra to Bungendore and back. You will pass through the Molonglo Gorge, slip into three handy tunnels, and gaze at the rolling countryside from a proper heritage carriage, all while pretending the 21st century does not exist.

Teamed up with the Canberra Rail Museum, these little shuttles suit families or groups who fancy a bit of nostalgic rattling around without too much fuss.
