If you fancy yourself a bit of a bookworm or just need an excuse to dodge that myriad of unread emails, head over to Lifeline Canberra's Bookfair. It's the biggest book love-in in the Canberra area, and it's all for a good cause. Your book binge will help keep our local crisis support service afloat, which is a decent trade-off for diving headfirst into piles of literature.

Prepare to get lost in a sea of books, from fiction that'll whisk you away to far-off lands to non-fiction that might make you think twice about that next dinner party conversation. We're talking rare gems, children's tales, textbooks that might help (or hinder) your GPA, and even foreign language books for those who want to flex their multilingual muscles. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. You'll also uncover magazines, sheet music, comics, maps, and maybe even that record you've been hunting down. So, grab your reusable tote and get ready to shop till you drop—preferably not at the book fair, because that would make for a rather awkward situation.
